How is it already April? 2016 is going by way too fast. It’s time for my Winter Instagram!
This has been a fun habit that I hope to continue 4 times a year. A post for each season. So far 2016 has been crazy busy but very very good. Nicholas Iverson Photography got a whole new look. A new style guide, new email template, and a new LOGO! Yes boring to everyone else but very exciting for moi. So far this year I biked from Phoenix, AZ to San Diego, CA. I will be attending NYCFotoworks– the L.A. version- this week. And in September, I go to Paris! Oui! I could use some suggestions on where to go.
The past few months I have been trying to remove myself from a more representation form of photographing. For many of the images on my feed, I tried to experiment with geometry and design in a more abstract approach. The goal is to focus more on color, shade, and layout then it is to truly represent what I am trying to photograph. Working around the agency district in Culver City California has really inspired me. The architecture is so out-there and unique. If you ever get a chance to visit, do it! Also this is a was a way for me to use my morning commute in a more productive way. It is a great practice to force you to see the world in form of art every second of everyday.
I find Instagram a great playground to experiment with photographs especially when used with my new Fuji camera. The wifi setting is so helpful for me to get quality imagery and share them instantly.
