HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Christmas is over and it’s almost the New Year. I wanted to reflect on 2016 and give thanks. I know the past year wasn’t a great year for many people. For me, it was a amazing year.
In March, I biked from Phoenix AZ to San Diego with my uncle. A 5 day ride through the desert with only one near-death experience. Okay maybe two. We rode through the American southwest of Arizona and through most of Southern California. In April, I spent a few days with friends showing my work at the NYCFotoworks in Downtown Los Angeles. I met some great people in the process and saw some great work from inspiring photographers. And if you followed my Instagram, you may have followed me on my trip to Paris. My France excursion deserves a blog post of it’s own. It will get one in due time. It was a life-changing trip and got to work on new art and see friends and family. I did lose my cameras. It is a small price to pay though for the experience I had.
Now I can’t talk about 2016 without mentioning the talent we lost this year. I am not one to believes the notion that we can blame the year for wreaking havoc on all our collective adolescence. Life is life. A few deaths game me pause though. They defined something significant in me when I was growing up. So to that end I say farewell to David Bowie, Lemmy Kilmister, and Kenny Baker. And I can’t forget Carrie Fisher. May the force be with you all and I hope you are making a ruckus in the heavens.
I want to thank everyone for such a great year. If I worked with you, THANK YOU for your time and effort. If I hung out with you, thanks for the drink you probably bought me and the conversation. If I am related to you, we didn’t hang out nearly enough this year.
I am excited for what’s next. I look forward to see how we break the internet in 2017! Happy Holidays!
Here Is Some Of My Work I did This Year.
